The topic of my thesis was one of the professor Slobodan's proposals which I found challenging.
Security incidents handling and organizational models
Today, in practically every organization, a hierarchical organizational
model regarding security incidents handling is used. The goal of this
work would be to define cost and effectiveness functions over various
organizational models related to security incidents handling and to
rank them according to the values of these functions for different
sets of model parameters, such as the number of nodes, their capacities,
etc. The best organizational structure according to this ranking would
then be recommended for application in business environment. Algorithms
for evaluating the defined functions of cost and effectiveness would
be developed and implemented, for which some knowledge of programming
is needed.
My supervisor during this project is professor
in Information Security at HiG, Mr. Slobodan Petrovic, slobodanp@hig.no
